Our History

Pharmatrust Professional College began in 2009 at Kasoa Obom as a specialized Pharmacy School with a clear mission of training competent Medicine Counter Assistants (MCAs) for Ghana's retail pharmacy sector. In its early years, the college focused on practical, hands-on training in drug dispensing, customer care, pharmacology basics, and pharmacy practice ethics, helping to bridge the gap in qualified pharmacy support staff.

Over the years, Pharmatrust grew beyond its original mandate. Driven by demand for higher-level technical health education and quality training standards, the college expanded its academic scope and infrastructure. This growth led to accreditation by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), and recognized as an HND awarding institution. Today, Pharmatrust Professional College runs HND programmes in Dispensing Technology and Medical Laboratory Technology.

From its roots as a dedicated MCA training centre in 2009, it has evolved into a respected tertiary institution producing mid-level health professionals for hospitals, pharmacies, and diagnostic labs across Ghana.
